WSFA reported on their Facebook fan page ” Rich Thomas marks first forecast on Today in Alabama in more than 20 years…see it live Wed. starting at 5am!”. Right after that Rich was quick to correct with “Correction. Been on Today in Alabama in tons of severe weather situations over the years. This would be my first solo ‘fair weather” hosting of Today in Alabama in many years, though.

I haven’t asked yet but I would love to know why on a staff of 4 meteorologist that the Chief is doing the morning show? Maybe he wanted to?
Either way it will be great to see Rich in the morning. He actually was on Alabama Live and Noon news today (9/8/09) also. I didn’t get a chance to watch the 5 or 6 so he might have been there too.

Allyson is on vacation, Josh is out sick, Dan is weekend and that leaves Rich!
Dan was there last night at the 10pm so Rich wasn’t there for a marathon of weather.
It was kind of cool to see Rich interact with Judd & Tonya.
