Two New Radio Stations for Montgomery

Bluewater is up to it again…introducing more new stations to Montgomery.

First off is YO! 107.1 – Montgomery’s home for Classic Jams from Salt N Pepa, Janet Jackson, LL Cool J, Snoop Dogg, TLC, Michael Jackson, Run DMC, Tupac, and more!  Check out http://www.yo1071.com/ to learn more about the station.  I’ve listened for a little bit this morning to the online feed and have heard Aaliyah, LL Cool J, and others.

Secondly, a format that probably makes Rick Peters (owner of Bluewater) cringe to listen to – Lite 100.5.  Easy Favorites.  Artists include Madonna, Whitney Houston, Neil Diamond, Barry Manilow, Lionel Richie, Mariah Carey, The Beatles, Bryan Adams and Chicago.  Check out http://www.litemontgomery.com/

Both have Facebook pages to that you can like that are accessible through each website.

The stations are both translators of the WQKS HD-2 and HD-3 feeds and should be on the air in August.

This is still new to myself, so I am sure I will be adding more as I learn more.  Try and listen, leave your comments and opinions below.

93.1 FM in Coosada has calls now.

    They are WGMP.

    Hmmm! Very Interesting!

Makes me wonder if The Gump is moving to this new spot.

Maybe someone with more knowledge and/or info will be able to shed light on this.

Meant to put my name on that previous post.

I was so excited about that new station, I forgot to do it.

Still love this site. It rocks!

Long live The Gump and their Rock presentation.

    It’s awesome.

  6. Brian Harris says:

The call letters are being parked there at 93.1 for now. More info to come as it is made available.

  7. Amigo says:

Lite sounded a bit quiet on HD 2 this morning, may have been just one song though as I didn’t listen for long.

  8. Amigo says:

Lite on HD 2 is definately very quiet. Noticed 107.1 FM is now broadcasting as well.

  9. Justin says:

are they having trouble with hd3/ yo!? my radio says no longer available then will play then is gone.

  10. Amigo says:

Not much activity on their HD services. HD1 was silent earlier, HD2 still very quiet.

HD on 96.1 all over the place lately. No HD 2 and 3 for the last couple of days. Then yesterday they return but 96.1 HD1 is labelled as “NEWS”. On a side note, how long can the HD secondary audio channels be off before a station is in breach of FCC rebroadcasting rules? Seeing as Bluewater are allowed to have low power repeaters of Lite and Yo because they are essentially HD channels?
