RUMOR ALERT! WBIH(29) CHANGING FORMATS
MTR has just learned that WBIH (29-1) plans to change formats to Christian programming. This rumor is unconfirmed but we think the source is reliable. Dish Network Launches AMC HD AND EPIX 3
Today Dish Network launched AMC HD on channel 130 and EPIX 3 SD on channel 292.
Still no word on bringing back ESPNNEWS, Disney, Disney XD or ABC Family HD yet.

DirecTV Launches GolTV HD

Dish Network Launches The Cooking Channel HD
Today Dish Network launched the Cooking Channel in HD on channel 113. Also, check your guides and favorites as many channels have changed number assignments.

3D TV Coming Soon To A TV Near You
Check out this article from Multichannel News. It looks like DirecTV will win the 3D HD war with N3D, ESPN 3D and others. Dish Network, not to be out done, has plans to launch a Discovery 3D channel soon. However, with Dish’s little spat with Disney/ESPN, don’t expect ESPN 3D on Dish any time soon. [...]

Dish Drops 4 Disney Owned HD Channels
Today Dish Network removed Disney HD, Disney XD HD, ABC Family HD and ESPN News HD from its lineup. (Source: satelliteguys.us) Suppossedly, this has something to do with the lawsuit between Disney/ESPN and Dish. More detailed discussion here. These channels are still available in standard definition.

Wednesday DirecTV will launch 14 more HD channels. Unfortunately, most of them require a subscription package such as a premium movie package or sports package. The channels are:
