Best of Montgomery Media Contest

Here are the winners from the 2nd Annual Best of Montgomery Media Contest (Voting was Sep.1-30, 2011):

Best Female TV Anchor: After 603 votes, Jamie Langley of WAKA was the winner with 365 votes (59.93%).

Best Male TV Anchor: After 160 votes, Bob Howell of WSFA was the winner with 61 votes (38.13%).

Best Mete0r0logist: After 564 votes, Dan Atkinson of WSFA was the winner wtih 190 votes (33.69%).

Best TV Sports Anchor/Reporter: After 138 votes, Jeff Shearer of WSFA was the winner with 81 votes (58.7%).

Best TV Reporter: After 232 votes, Bethany Wales of WSFA was the winner with 120 votes (51.72%).

Best TV News Cast: After 168 votes, CBS 8 News at 5 was the winner with 43 votes (25.6%).

Best TV Station: After 148 votes, WSFA 12 News was the winner with 76 votes (51.35%).  REPEAT WINNER

Best Radio Station: After 480 votes, 104.9 The Gump was the winner with 239 votes (49.79%).  REPEAT WINNER

Best Local Radio Morning Show: After 2,592 votes, Greg Budell & Susan Woody of News/Talk 107.9 and Q96.1 were the winners with 1600 votes (61.73%).

Best Syndicated Radio Morning Show: After 178 votes, Rick & Bubba of WLWI were the winners with 111 votes (62.36%).

Best Talk Radio Host: After 4,142 votes, Greg Budell of News/Talk 107.9 was the winner with 2119 votes (51.16%).  REPEAT WINNER

Biggest Media Story of the Year: After 277 votes, Don Markwell’s Passing was the winner with 194 votes (70.09%).
